Congratulations to the Theater Student of the Month for April... Ruby Daines from State College of Florida! Ruby was nominated by her advisor, Amanda Schlachter. Here is what Amanda shared with us about Ruby:

"Ruby Daines has been a part of SCF Theatre for the past year and a half. She is a tremendous actor who always bring fresh and exiting choices to her work. She has been in 3 different productions with us, always delivering a stand out performance. In addition, she is a 4.0 student and receives high honors in all her classes. She recently played the lead role in our production of THEY PROMISED HER THE MOON by Laurel Ollstein and received high praises from all who witnessed her work!

Ruby is always leading the way in productions with SCF Theatre. She is the first to know her lines, she comes into rehearsal with wonderful choices and she practices daily to always improve her work. She is a professional and an example to all. In addition, she took multiple theatre courses and volunteered on the technical side of theatre helping with set construction and breakdown. She also has been inducted into Delta Psi Omega, is a part of the Honor Society on campus and received high praise this year in many of her courses. Ruby is a joy and we highly recommend her as Student of the Month for Theatre. We, at SCF Theatre, are so proud of all Ruby has accomplished."
