We are excited to announce another SGA Student of the Month for October... Yuqqe Macdalena from Hillsborough Community College's Dale Mabry Campus! Yuqqe was nominated by her advisor Catherine Korman!

Here is what Catherine shared with us about Yuqqe: "In spite of it being her first semester with SGA, Yuqqe has quickly become one of our shining stars. She is serving as a committee chair for the DM SGA Hawk Spirit Committee. She has also been the primary driver behind a Sports Day initiative aimed at promoting physical wellness and connecting the campus community with local and college sports teams.

Yuqqe leads through example. She consistently checks in with her committee members and the campus Executive Board. She has demonstrated her ability to work well and effectively with others, and actively facilitates feedback. She has balanced making her voice heard with making sure that the other members of her team are able to share their thoughts and opinions. Under her leadership, her committee is managing a budget of $3,000 for the Sports Day initiative. Collectively, they have explored how to be good custodians of their constituents' funds, while providing the greatest return."
