Congratulations to the Student Government Student of the Month for November... Cynthia Cesar from Miami Dade College! Cynthia was nominated by her advisor, Dandria Gray! Here is what Dandria shared with us about Cynthia:
"As a high school student dual-enrolled at Miami Dade College, she have excelled both academically and through active campus involvement. Serving as an SGA senator, she developed leadership skills by representing her peers and contributing to campus-wide decisions. Additionally, she had the privilege of volunteering with Student Life, helping organize events that encourage student engagement and build a sense of community. Outside of academics, I’m participating in Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc.’s Debutante Ball, which focuses on leadership, service, and personal development. This opportunity has enhanced my commitment to civic engagement and personal growth, aligning with my broader goals of making a positive impact. These experiences have strengthened my time management skills and taught me the value of leadership and community involvement. I look forward to continuing to contribute to my school and community as I grow in my academic and leadership journey.
She is an outstanding student who is deeply committed to serving her community. She volunteers with various local elected officials and contributes her time to local parks. Since joining the Homestead Campus, she has actively participated as a member of the SGA Senate. Despite not yet being a high school graduate, her dedication to volunteering is remarkable, as she consistently contributes to multiple campus organizations and school initiatives."
Congratulations, Cynthia! Thank you Ms. Gray for nominating her, she is so deserving of this recognition!
