Student Government Student of the Month: February

Student Government Student of the Month: February

Congratulations to the Student Government Student of the Month for February... Alexi Rostant from Palm Beach State College! Alexi was nominated by her advisor, Isreal Perez. Here is what Isreal shared with us about Alexi:

"Alexi joined SGA mid-semester as our Social Media Executive, bringing prior marketing experience and an immediate drive to elevate our organization’s presence. Since joining, her work has been prominently featured across the official PBSC Instagram account, where she consistently creates high-quality, on-brand content that reflects both the college and the Student Government Association. She quickly developed and launched a comprehensive marketing strategy focused on increasing SGA’s visibility, engagement, and follower growth. Through creative campaigns, targeted messaging, and consistent content planning, Alexi has set ambitious goals for our digital platforms and has exceeded every one of them. Her work has directly contributed to increased student interaction, improved event awareness, and stronger retention of student involvement. Despite a demanding academic schedule established before her appointment, Alexi has demonstrated exceptional dedication and adaptability. When unable to attend certain meetings or events, she collaborates seamlessly with the team to ensure content is captured, later assembling it into polished final pieces with remarkable creativity and precision. Her ability to turn raw materials into cohesive, impactful storytelling truly sets her apart. Alexi’s professionalism, initiative, and consistent follow-through have made her an invaluable member of SGA. Her contributions have not only strengthened our communication efforts but have elevated the standard for what student leadership in marketing can achieve. We are deeply grateful for her commitment and proud to have her represent our organization.

As an international student balancing a rigorous 12-credit course load across multiple campuses, Alexi has continually demonstrated exceptional leadership, initiative, and resilience. Despite her demanding schedule, she actively sought out her role within SGA and immediately became a driving force in our team. Beyond her strong skills in content creation, Alexi consistently brings forward thoughtful, innovative ideas that enhance our events, programming, and organizational structure. She is unafraid to challenge long-standing norms when she recognizes they may limit student engagement or negatively impact the student body in the long term. Her ability to analyze student needs from a broad, multicultural perspective allows her to advocate for more inclusive practices and improved communication with our diverse campus community. Alexi leads not just through her work, but through her influence. She collaborates effectively, motivates her peers, and approaches every project with a solution-oriented mindset. Her dedication sets a standard for what student leadership can look like, especially when balancing unique challenges. I am confident that Alexi’s continued involvement will only amplify her positive impact. She has already begun shaping a stronger, more student-centered environment, and her leadership will continue to benefit our campus community."

Congratulations, Alexi! Thank you to Mr. Perez for nominating this outstanding student!
