Congratulations to the Student Government Student of the Month for August... Aliana Alvarez from Florida SouthWestern State College! Aliana was nominated by her advisor Gabrielly Cordon-Ayala! Here is what Gabrielly shared with us about Aliana:
"Since being recently elected Hendry-Glades campus President, Ali has swiftly made an impact with her exceptional dedication and enthusiasm. Within just two weeks, her infectious energy has revitalized SGA on our smallest campus. Ali has been tirelessly working on recruitment efforts, significantly enhancing SGA's presence and visibility. Her commitment to fostering a vibrant student community and her proactive approach in building engagement demonstrates her outstanding leadership and excellence in her role.
Since attending the overnight leadership retreat, Ali has demonstrated exceptional leadership within her peers, campus, and community. Her commitment to SGA is evident through her active participation in all campus events, focusing on recruitment and increasing SGA’s visibility. She has maintained consistent communication with her advisors, ensuring smooth operations and guidance. Ali's initiatives include creating and distributing goody bags and care packages, hosting informational sessions with local collegiate high schools, and developing engaging marketing materials that she has strategically placed around campus. Her proactive approach extends to social media, where she shares photos of her interactions with students, further promoting SGA’s presence and fostering a sense of community. Notably, Ali has recruited a Vice President and additional senators, resulting in a larger membership base than another bigger campus. Her relentless energy and dedication to enhancing SGA’s impact have significantly impressed us. Ali’s efforts reflect her strong leadership and unwavering commitment to building a thriving student organization."
Congratulations, Aliana! Thank you to Ms. Cordon-Ayala for nominating her!
