Student Government Student of the Month: November

Student Government Student of the Month: November

Congratulations to one of our Student Government Students of the Month... Lily O'Connor from Palm Beach State College! Lily was nominated by her advisor, Isreal Perez! Here is what Isreal shared with us about Lily:

"Lily O’Connor has made an immediate impact on campus through her consistent involvement and dedication to student life. While she has not yet had the opportunity to win awards as a brand-new freshman, she is already building an impressive record of accomplishments that demonstrate both initiative and commitment. As Secretary of SGA, Lily has quickly adapted to her leadership role and embraced the responsibilities that come with it. She represents her peers with professionalism and enthusiasm, while also showing a willingness to step outside of her position to contribute in other ways. Lily has become a reliable presence at Student Activities events. Though her participation is not required, she regularly assists with programs, lending a hand to ensure events run smoothly. Her readiness to support her fellow students and staff shows true dedication and teamwork.

Lily O’Connor is my nomination for FCSSGA Student of the Month because she embodies the spirit of leadership and involvement from day one. As a freshman, Lily immediately jumped in and took on the role of Secretary for SGA, showing a level of initiative and commitment well beyond her years. She has already proven herself to be dependable, organized, and passionate about serving her peers. In her short time at PBSC, Lily has gone above and beyond to represent our college with pride. She attended a special luncheon with the Assistant Dean of Student Services, where she demonstrated professionalism and a strong interest in student advocacy. She also volunteered at the PBSC Foundation fundraising golf tournament, dedicating her time to an event that supports scholarships and opportunities for students across our campuses. Faculty and staff who have interacted with Lily have praised her work ethic, enthusiasm, and maturity. What stands out most is her eagerness to learn and her natural ability to connect with others. For a freshman to already be making such an impact speaks volumes about her potential. Lily O’Connor is a rising leader, and I am confident she will continue to make a lasting difference at PBSC."

Congratulations, Lily! Thank you to Mr. Perez for nominating this outstanding student!
