Music Student of the Month: October

Music Student of the Month: October

Congratulations to the Music Student of the Month for October... Autumn Stoner from College of Central Florida! Autumn was nominated by her advisor Allen J. Venezio! Here is what Allen shared with us about Autumn:

"Autumn is a music performance and education major at CF. She has been playing flute for 8 years and she been playing saxophone in jazz ensemble for two years. In high school, she was a member of numerous honor bands including both the All-District and All-County Bands for 3 years, and earning principal chair for 2 consecutive years in All-County. She was the drum major and flute section leader in high school for 2 years. She has also performed in numerous community bands including the Kingdom of the Sun Concert Band and Wings of Faith and Fellowship Orchestra. "My goal is to be a professional flute player and to teach at the collegiate level, giving kids the chance to obtain a passion for music just like I did." she says.

Autumn is the principal chair flutist in the Wind Symphony and the lead alto saxophonist in the jazz ensemble at CF. She is also a member of our NAfME Collegiate chapter. She assists with leading the flute and woodwind choirs in our woodwind studio as well. She works a nearly full-time job where she routinely is called upon to assist the management team. She is an exceptional musician and a strong musical leader in our ensembles."

Congratulations, Autumn! Thank you to Mr. Venezio for nominating her!
