Congratulations to the Music Division Student of the Month for March... Michael Pinheiro from Seminole State College! Michael was nominated by his advisor, Jim Smisek.
Here is what Jim shared with us about Michael: "Michael has consistently proven to our faculty that he is academically and musically focused. He has participated in the Symphonic Band and Jazz Ambassadors (big band) for almost two years. He is an outstanding tuba and bass trombone player who is often recognized by our faculty as one of the best musicians to come through our program! He has maintained an A average in all four theory classes. His solo performances during recitals have been exemplary and he also has volunteered to perform with the student brass quintet at various community functions.
Michael has taken on a leadership role within the Symphonic Band and the Brass Quintet. He works with his fellow students on perfecting the music and outreach to the community surrounding our college. He has also demonstrated leadership at Crosslife Church where he is performing on tuba. He helps the younger students in the low brass section and is much appreciated by his fellow musicians."
We are so excited to recognize Michael and all of his accomplishments! Congratulations to our March Music Student of the Month and thank you to Mr. Jim for nominating him!
