Congratulations to the Music Student of the Month for February... Joseph Roca from Miami Dade College Kendall Campus! Leo was nominated by his advisor, Leo Walz. Here is what Mr. Walz shared with us about Joseph:

"Joseph is a fine trombone player in the MDC Concert and Jazz Bands (1st chair in both). He is/has been an excellent student in my theory classes and is very dependable. He is polite, determined, amiable, confident, thoughtful, and diligent in all of his dealings with faculty and students.

Joseph has almost single-handedly reconstituted the "Opus One" Music Club, which provides support services for MDC concerts and other performances. The Club had faltered for several years, and Joseph's vision was to reinvigorate it into an important service organization. He is well liked and well respected by the faculty and his peers."
