Theatre Student of the Month: March

Congratulations to the Theatre Student of the Month for March... Hannah Pearson from Lake-Sumter State College! Hannah was nominated by her advisor, Aspacia Lindstrom. Here is what Aspacia shared with us about Hannah:

"Hannah Pearson is the epitome of professionalism and natural talent, making a lasting impact on the Lake Sumter Technical and Performing Arts Program. As a founding member, she set the bar high with her debut performance as Katherine Plummer in Newsies for the program’s showcase premiere—an especially meaningful role as Katherine is her musical idol. Hannah’s versatility shone through as she brought depth and humor to Rhonda in Almost, Maine and embodied the cheerful barmaid Martha in the original production of Gods’ Man. She will conclude the season with the iconic role of Kathy Selden in Singin’ in the Rain, a testament to her dynamic stage presence and vocal prowess. Beyond her performances, Hannah is a dedicated member of the digital and performing arts program and has already begun inspiring the next generation as a first-year middle school theatre teacher. Her passion, commitment, and artistry continue to elevate those around her, and we cannot wait to see what she accomplishes next!

Hannah Pearson’s leadership within the digital and performing arts community is both inspiring and impactful. She consistently steps up to guide her peers, offering constructive feedback during rehearsals, assisting with tech setups, and mentoring newer members to help them feel confident and prepared. Her ability to stay calm under pressure sets a positive example, and her strong work ethic motivates others to meet their own potential. Hannah’s dedication to her craft, her peers, and the larger community demonstrates a level of maturity and initiative that sets her apart. She embodies the qualities of a true leader, proving that excellence isn’t just about personal success but about uplifting and inspiring those around you."

Congratulations, Hannah! Thank you to Ms. Lindstrom for nominating her for this recognition!
