Theatre Summer SOTM: Tyler Heminger

Theatre Summer SOTM: Tyler Heminger

Starting today we will be posting weekly "Summer SOTM" posts! Each week we will highlight a student from one of our FCSAA divisions who has been consistently active in their programs. Tag the individuals who are being congratulated as Student of the Month!

To start us off, congratulations to Tyler Heminger, Eastern Florida State College, for being recognized as one of our FCSAA Theatre Division Summer Students of the Month! Tyler was nominated by his advisor, Jeanine Henry.

Here is what Jeanine shared with us about Tyler: "Tyler Heminger has been an active participant in our theatre program during the 2019/2020 season. He was a featured actor in the Titans Theatre Club production of The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon and also served on the scenery committee for that show. He volunteered as stage manager for Vote?, a play in celebration of Black History Month, and was prepared to step in when an actor was running late. During the spring semester, he played Francis Flute in A Midsummer Night’s Dream and was active on the costume and scenery committees. When our public performance was canceled, we created a Zoom performance. Tyler took our Zoom footage and edited a complete performance. This was a time-consuming task and he did a great job with it. He also created a video trailer for this production to share with the administration and on social media outlets.

Tyler has been a dynamic leader in our program. He is a delightful young man, full of joy, energy, and laughter. He is a creative problem-solver who comes up with terrific solutions when presented with a challenge. We are lucky to have him and wish him the best."

Congratulations Tyler Heminger of Eastern Florida State College for being the first of our Summer SOTM!
