Congratulations to Kaela Schultz, Lake-Sumter State College, for being awarded as our Theatre Division Student of the Month for February! She was nominated by her advisor, Kevin Arms.
Here is what Kevin had to say about Kaela and why she was nominated for this recognition: "Kaela has been a consummate performer in her time with LSSC Theatre. She recently stepped in at the last minute to assume a lead role in a production with only six days to prepare herself for opening night. Kaela responded to this task by buckling down, learning her lines in record time along with blocking, and helping keep cast and crew morale high. She seamlessly transitioned into the role, and brought the cast with her on her journey as she learned her part. The result was a fantastic series of performances that showed what amazing things can happen when students band together to help one another.
Kaela acted as a true leader during our most recent production. She easily took the lead in guiding the cast through rehearsals, helped with any number of issues backstage, and always kept an immensely positive attitude in the face of adversity. Kaela is a shining example of what a leader can be, and we can't wait to see where she goes and accomplishes in the future."
Another Congratulations for this incredible student and her work in the Theatre Division, Kaela Schultz. Our thanks to her advisor, Kevin Arms, for nominating Kaela as our Theatre Student of the Month for February!
