SGA Student of the Month: October

SGA Student of the Month: October

Congratulations to Melina Sena-Mendez, Palm Beach State College-Lake Worth Campus, our Student Government Division Student of the Month for October. Melina was nominated by her advisor, Lindsey Goldstein.

Here’s what we learned about Melina: “Melina served the first part of the semester as Inter-Club Council Liaison for the Palm Beach State College-Lake Worth Campus Student Government Association. She is an incredibly hard worker and is dedicated to helping clubs be successful. She increased club attendance at the inter-club council meeting including gaining participation from previously uninvolved clubs. She now holds the position of Vice President and has done a wonderful job running the weekly senate meetings. Melina can always be seen recruiting students to join Student Government Association as well as promoting other clubs. Her strong organizational skills, reliability and ambition have been a huge asset to the team!  Furthermore, Melina has gone above and beyond demonstrating exceptional leadership. Every day during the first week of school, she welcomed new students and helped them find their classes. When some of her peers were unable to make it to their shift at the welcome table, she immediately signed up to take their place. She is always the first to show up and the last to leave when preparing for events. She is great at communicating with her team and her passion lights up the room, campus and community!”

Congratulations to this outstanding student, and our thanks to Ms. Goldstein for taking the time to nominate her!
