Congratulations to Elizabeth Dilger, Daytona State College, for being chosen as the FCSAA Student Government Division Student of the Month for February! Elizabeth was nominated by her advisor, Lori Lemoine.
Here is what Lori told us about Elizabeth: "Liz has served for 2 years as an SGA officer for Daytona State College. During this time, she has served as the chair for the Club Thanksgiving, the Club Wars competition, the Club Awards Banquet for all 56 clubs, Welcome week events; as well as co-chairing two Humane Society pet drives. She has actively participated in the FCSSGA leadership-training program, FLT, and achieved her wings this past April. Through FCSSGA, she was also instrumental to the team during their Legislative visits this November, bringing her positive attitude and welcoming attitude to each of the 7 visits with our local officials.
During the fall semester, Elizabeth was selected to serve as Freddie the Falcon, our DSC mascot. In 2018, she won the Mr. & Mrs. Daytona State pageant. In those roles, Liz has represented the school for Homecoming activities, singing the National Anthem and attending community parades. Her positive approach and giving nature has radiated throughout the board. For events that Elizabeth could not chair, she has always stepped up to do research and create the displays, provide decorations or stop by for a few minutes to support her team. Her most recent endeavor is chairing the Daytona State Relay for Life event for all of the clubs, organizations and departments at the college where her duties include creating fundraisers, organizing all aspects of the Relay including layout, sponsors, and entertainment. Her leadership has helped our Student Government be the best it has been in years and she is an ideal candidate for this recognition."
Congratulations to Elizabeth Dilger, our FCSSGA Student of the Month, and a big thank you to Ms. Lemoine for nominating her for this recognition.
