SGA Student of the Month: May #2

SGA Student of the Month: May #2

Congratulations to Heather Paul, Florida Gateway College,  selected as Student Government Division Student of the Month.  She was nominated by her advisor Ms. Amy Dekle.

Here’s what Ms. Dekle shared with us about Heather: “Heather Paul, the SGA Legislative Liaison, dedicates her time to the service of her FGC community. Heather is always the first student to offer a lending hand at events and activities and the last student at the event helping to clean up.Heather leads by example and always has encouraging words to every student she meets. Heather is always encouraging new students to become involved on campus and strives to make sure every student feels welcome and has the best experience at FGC. Heather is a member of SGA, PTK, and has been on listed on the President’s list every semester for her academic excellence.

Heather’s dedication to service is not limited to Florida Gateway College, but extends to her country and her community. Heather was a member of the United States Army for three years before she was honorably discharged for an injury. Heather achieved the rank of an E4 specialist and received many field awards while serving our country. Her experience in the Army helped shape her into the dedicated leader she is today. Heather is also an active member of her church where she is a willing volunteer in the House of God. Heather is the type of person where you never need to ask her to help because she has the foresight and initiative to see needs and task to be accomplished and does them.”

Congratulations to this outstanding student, and our thanks to Ms. Dekle for taking the time to nominate her for this recognition.
