SGA Student of the Month: January

SGA Student of the Month: January

Congratulations to Kennashka DeSilva, Miami Dade College (Homestead Campus), for being recognized as one of the SGA Students of the Month for January! She was nominated by her advisor, John Maloney.

Here is what John told us about Kennashka: "Kennashka Desilva is an excellent student in my current COP1334, Introduction to C++ Programming class. In this class, Kennashka has perfect attendance and an exceptional grade in the class. Additionally, she asks good questions every day in class and she has also become a class leader, helping her classmates understand the C++ programming concepts that we're covering.

In addition to her excellent performance in class, Kennashka is also the President of the Tech Society Club and has also done a very good job managing her presidential responsibilities for this club. She has been a very motivated leader and has encouraged the other club members to participate more fully in the club. Kennashka is also an SGA Senator and shows much dedication to her position in the program. Finally, she has attended two of the recent SGA and ICC meetings at the Homestead Campus representing the Tech Society Club. Kennashka Desilva is a great student overall and deserves this recognition!"

Congratulations to this exceptional student, Kennashka DeSilva, one of our SGA Students of the Month, and thank you to Mr. Maloney for nominating her for this recognition.
