Student Government Student of the Month #2: February

Student Government Student of the Month #2: February

Congratulations to Isairy Gonzalez Andujar, Hillsborough Community College - Brandon Campus, for being awarded as one of the three FCSAA Student Government Division Students of the Month for February. Isairy was nominated by her advisor, Ryan Brown.

Here is what Mr. Brown told us about Isairy: "Isairy has led her campus community through ambitions programs like 30-in-30, where she was instrumental in designing and implementing student programming events over the first 30 days of classes, lead community service efforts to provide needed items to a community animal shelter, and oversees a Student Government of approximately 50 students. She has also served as the FCSSGA State Secretary, and maintain satisfactory academic progress.

Isairy has made it her mission to make a permanent mark on our campus. Under her leadership, SGA has partnered with the college and the HCC Foundation to open a food pantry resource that aims to decrease the food insecurity gap that sometimes prevents graduation. She has also worked to open a new student center on her campus and is actively working to bring important legislation items to the attention of our Federal Government representatives when we meet with them in March."

Again, congratulations to Isairy Gonzalez Andujar, one of our SGA Students of the Month, and thank you to Mr. Brown for nominating her for this recognition!
