Brain Bowl Student of the Month: December

Brain Bowl Student of the Month: December

Congratulations to Robert “Trey” Conner, Florida Gateway College, who was selected as the Florida College System Activities Association Brain Bowl Division Student of the Month for December.  He was nominated by Professor James Givvines.

Here’s what Professor Givvines shared with us about Trey: “Trey is playing in his first year of quiz bowl. In his first ever tournament, the Florida Gateway College Novice Tournament, he scored 64 points per game placing 5th overall; in his second tournament, the Erik Korray Tournament, he scored 50 points per game and 9th overall; and at the Delta Burke Tournament, he scored 56 points per game and 7th overall.  Trey has brought a high level of enthusiasm to the team. He takes it upon himself to organize additional practice times with players beyond our team practices, and players want to better themselves to elevate their game to compliment his knowledge.”

Congratulations to this outstanding student, and our thanks to Mr. Givvines for taking the time to nominate him for this recognition.
