Congratulations Daphne Bolivar, Pasco-Hernando State College, for being awarded as the FCSAA Student Government Division Student of the Month for September! She was nominated by her advisor, Laura Raposa.
Here is what Laura had to say about why Daphne deserves this recognition: "It is my pleasure to nominate Daphne Bolivar for FCSSSGA Student of the Month. She has contributed to the school community in a variety of ways, most notably through her participation as SGA Vice President, club leader and in campus events and activities. Daphne works at a retail store, as a nanny and cares for her younger siblings in addition to attending classes. Additionally, Daphne always has a positive attitude and a smile on her face. Daphne is on track to complete her Associate in Arts degree in December 2019 and plans to pursue a nursing degree in January 2020."
Daphne displays leadership at our campus events and during the Student Government meetings. She volunteers time in between a busy class schedule and makes sure that student on campus have a voice. Daphne was an integral part of revitalizing our Nightingale Nursing Club on campus and continues to seek ways to get nursing students involved in campus events and activities. Frankly, I am impressed with her creativity, determination and ability to schedule extracurricular activities around a full academic workload."
Our congratulations to Daphne for being recognized as the FCSSGA Student of the Month and a big thank you to Laura Raposa for nominating her!
