FCSSGA Student of the Month: March

Congratulations to Ms. Stella Belony, St. Johns River State College - St. Augustine Campus, who was selected as our Student Government Division Student of the Month for March.  She was nominated by her advisor, Mr. Stephen Tomasovitch.

Here’s what Mr. Tomasovitch shared with us about Stella: “Stella is currently pursuing an Associate of Arts Degree at St. Johns River State College. She plans to graduate from SJR State in the spring of 2019 and will transfer to the university level to complete a Chemical Engineering degree. She has a cumulative GPA of 3.62, and her most recent semester, she garnered a 4.0. With respect to Student Government, she started SJR State St. Augustine Campus Student Government Association as a Representative in the Fall of 2016 and has risen through the ranks of leadership to her current position as Vice President. Stella has demonstrated excellent leadership by leading by example and fostering a family-style cooperative attitude within groups in which she is involved. Her peers are drawn to her positive attitude and calm yet assertive demeanor.  In addition to being a great leader in her Student Government Association, she is also the President of the St. Augustine Campus Art Club and the Public Relations Officer for the St. Augustine Campus Spanish Club. She has also been inducted into Phi Theta Kappa Honors Society.”

Congratulations to this outstanding student, and our thanks to Mr. Tomasovitch for taking the time to nominate her for this recognition.
