SGA Student of the Month February

SGA Student of the Month February

Congratulations to Rosmery Nerey-Rodriguez, our Student Government Division February Student of the Month! Rosmery was nominated by her advisor, Mauricio Garcia. Rosmery is a student at Seminole State College of Florida

Here’s what Mauricio shared with us about Rosmery: “As SGA President, Rosmery has demonstrated outstanding leadership skills leading her SGA to successfully bring water filter fountains to campus that cut down the amount of plastic waste created as well as being an active voice in the process of designing our new Student Services building. Rosmery has been an outstanding SGA president. She has spent countless hours making sure her staff takes care of the needs of her students. She has been instrumental in supporting diversity at every level, making our campus an inclusive community that welcomes everyone and values diversity. She also demands of herself and her staff to "walk the talk." For her, being a role model is not just a job expectation; it is a mandate. She makes sure service to our student body is the number one priority while at the same time emphasizing the importance of academic excellence.”

Congratulations to this outstanding student, and our thanks to Mr. Garcia for taking the time to nominate her for this recognition.
