Forensics Student of the Month: February

Forensics Student of the Month: February

Congratulations to Alberto Camargo, Polk State College, our Forensics Division Student of the Month for February.  He was nominated by Professor and Forensics Coach Christina Gesmundo.

Here’s what Professor Gesmundo shared with us about Alberto: “Alberto is brand new to Forensics. This season he participated in Persuasion, Impromptu and Extemporaneous Speaking. He approached all areas with enthusiasm and a strong desire to master the material. He was diligent in researching the parameters of each area as well as practicing and fine tuning his craft. He has completely and fearlessly dived into Forensics and aims to achieve and perfect his contributions, all the while competing as a novice with a positive attitude and desire to improve.

Further, Alberto has risen above and beyond the responsibilities of team member. He has demonstrated leadership to his team, to the college and to the community at large by representing the team at SGA meetings and working with our newest members to provide guidance and inspiration. Our small team lost a couple of members this semester, but Alberto has rallied the remaining team members and is leading the charge in team camaraderie. I believe he has demonstrated leadership and commitment by his dedication and practice to the craft. I am proud to have Alberto on the team and I look forward to his continued growth as a leader and a competitor.”

Congratulations to this outstanding student, and our thanks to Professor Gesmundo for taking the time to nominate him for this recognition.
