Congratulations to Noah Bush, Santa Fe College, the Brain Bowl Division Student of the Month for December. Noah was nominated by his Brain Bowl Coach, Dr. Asha Brunings. Here?s what she shared with us about him:
Noah joined the Santa Fe Brain Bowl team in September 2015 and has shown tremendous improvement as an individual player and as a team member. Noah attends practice regularly, and frequently convinces others to practice with us. In the most recent tournament, Noah placed 3rd out 90 students at the Delta-Burke tournament at Valencia College in Orlando. Noah has a unique technique of buzzing in as soon as he has an inkling of the answer, and then thinking for about 2 seconds before answering, rather than blurting out the answer. This is somewhat nerve-wrecking for his coach who thinks he rang in prematurely, but the system hasn't failed Noah yet! This academic year, Noah became team captain of the Santa Fe Brain Bowl. He has superb leadership skills, knows the strengths of his team mates, and when to defer to them for answers. He sets a great example of always attending practice and spreading the word about Brain Bowl to his friends and class mates.
Congratulations to this outstanding student, and our thanks to Dr. Brunings for taking the time to nominate him!
