A President's Welcome

Welcome to the Florida Community College Activities Association (FCSAA)! It has been well-established in the higher education literature that student involvement in co-curricular activities has a profound impact on student development and on student learning. The activities coordinated by the FCSAA run the gamut of the college experience – including athletic & academic competition, fine arts, publications, and student governance – contributing to student success throughout the state of Florida.

The FCSAA was established by the Presidents of the now-Florida College System over sixty years ago to regulate intercollegiate athletic competition. Today, the FCSAA serves the students, faculty and staff of member colleges by regulating, coordinating, and promoting intercollegiate activities in the areas of Athletics, Brain Bowl, Forensics, Music, Student Government, Student Publications, and Theatre.

Through our special events, we provide opportunities for students and professionals to interact, compete with, and learn from other at a local, district, state and national levels. We encourage students to participate in the FCSAA to enhance their collegiate experience.

It is an honor to be a part of this association and to serve as the FCSAA President for the 2012-2013 and 2013-2014 academic years.
